How Can I Help Secure these Grants?

Please give now and together we can build an exciting future

The Starr Challenge ($20,000)

Emily and Harold Starr have set this challenge for individuals to support our growing school and thereby providing the sustaining support needed to meet the growing needs of our future students. Consider a half ($8,000) or full ($16,000) scholarship to help meet this generous challenge grant.

The ELM (Episcopal, Luthern, Moravian) Challenge ($8,000)

An anonymous family challenges outreach committees from Episcopal, Lutheran and Moravian church communities to give in support of our young students at St. James School. Similar to an Elm tree, it takes time for young people to grow and to become leaders within their communities and in our world. This ELM Challenge has been set as a way to challenge churches to assist us in our work to address the achievement gap and drop out rate plaguing the city of Philadelphia.

The Rehorst & Bernhardt Family Challenge ($8,000)

As founding members of the St. James School Advisory Board, Joyce Rehorst and her son, Brian Bernhardt, have set their second annual family challenge as a way to ensure that their early commitment to open St. James School is supported through sustaining gifts for the benefit of our future students.

If you have an interest in supporting one or more of these challenges, please contact David Kasievich, Executive Director at (215) 226-1276 or (267) 258-3384.
