Students and their families attended St. David’s Church 163nd annual country fair in Wayne, PA. Proceeds from the fair will go in part to the work at St. James School, and the trip itself is an annual commitment by St. David’s Church to provide students and their families with an opportunity to partake in good old fashioned family fun outside the city.

More families attended this third year, requiring two full busloads, and though the weather was rainy on departure from Philadelphia, plenty of sunshine energized everyone arriving to the fair. Parishioners and clergy at St. David’s Church raised the funds necessary to ensure that transportation, food, access to rides and tickets for games were provided to over 80 students, families and staff.

Families left with full stomachs and bags filled with special treasures. A word of gratitude to Dave Spina for delivering the seven bikes and other goodies purchased by families. Special thanks to Associate Rector The Rev. Matt Holcombe, fair chair Alison Smith, fair co-chair Suzanne Zelov, and auction chair Mono Kirby for helping ensure St. James School had a care free and fun day at the fair.
