The Episcopal School in North Philadelphia

Students and their families traveled from St. James School to St. David’s Church Wayne for their 162nd annual country fair. Proceeds from the fair will go in part to the work at St. James School, and the trip itself provides our families with an opportunity to spend quality time together outside the city.

This being the second year for families, many more attended requiring two full bus loads. The weather was unseasonably warm, but plenty of sunshine kept folks energized and having a fun time. St. David’s Parishioners and clergy from St. David’s Church raised the funds necessary to ensure that transportation, food, access to rides and tickets for games, and more were provided to our over 120 students, families and staff. This annual commitment to provide our students and their families with an opportunity to partake in good old fashioned family fun has become a welcomed and special tradition at St. James School.

Families left with stomachs full of wonderful food and bags filled with special and cherished treasures. Special thanks to The Rev. Matt Holcombe, Associate Rector; Kristin Nevins, Fair Chair; Shari Noteware and Alison Smith, Fair Co-Chairs for helping ensure St. James School had a care free and fun day at the fair.
