During the Christmas in the City event, Bob Brano and Ronna Tyndall were honored for their tireless support of St. James School

On Friday, December 12, over 120 friends and benefactors of St. James School were present for Christmas in the City, the 3rd annual benefit sponsored by the Society of the Sons of St. George and the Philadelphia English Speaking Union.

The evening began with a Service of Lessons and Carols at Saint Mark’s Church, Locust Street, sung by the Saint Mark’s Choir of Boys and Girls (which includes eight St. James School students) and members of the Saint Mark’s parish choir.

The festivities continued as guests followed a bagpiper just around the corner and gathered at the Colonial Dames House for silent auction and cocktails before dinner, provided by partners Di Bruno Bros. with wine by Moore Brothers Wine Company.

Following dinner, 8th grade students Lashay and Sydnee presented awards to honorees Bob Brano and Ronna Tyndall for their generosity and tireless advocacy on behalf of St. James School.

The evening was a wonderful success, celebrating the many gifts bestowed on the St. James community and raising money to fund scholarships and advance the school’s mission in North Philadelphia.
