The students at St. James School learned about ancient mummies and hieroglyphics. For their art classes they were able to outline and paint the mummies that were then hung in their classrooms once completed. The students used colored paints, water, and paintbrushes to paint the mummy pictures. They were excited to do this activity, as they used their imaginations to paint their mummy in whatever colors they chose to. The students also enjoyed learning about ancient Egypt and are continuing to look forward to more art activities in the future!
The students’ mummies really came out great. I enjoyed watching them work away at this fun project!
