n Wednesday April 30, over 85 guests attended Pick the Perfect Bite, a special fundraiser sponsored by Di Bruno Bros. and the first of a series of creative — and delicious – events hosted by Di Bruno Bros. to raise funds for the Neighborhood Kitchen at St. James School.

Held at the Upstairs Cafe at Di Bruno Bros. in Rittenhouse Square, guests enjoyed wine and beer selections from co-sponsors Moore Brothers Wine Company and Weyerbacher Brewing Company. While sampling pasta, pizza and other treats, guest voted on their favorite taste combination from four cheesemonger teams, the bites included “Robiola Toast Crunch,” “the Pear-fect Bite” and “Candy Apple.”

St. James School student and teacher ambassadors were on hand to thank guests and answer questions about the school and the new kitchen. Slated to open this fall, the Di Bruno Bros. Neighborhood Kitchen will provide a needed renovation and expansion to school’s existing space and give a major makeover to the food program.
