On Friday, February 24, St. James School hosted its first Black History Month Wax Museum. To celebrate Black History Month, students brought noteworthy historical black figures to life by dressing in costume and giving biographical presentations. From an exuberant James Brown to a dignified Dorothy Vaughn, each wax figure was also accompanied by a student-made poster or PowerPoint presentation detailing key facts from his/her life.
Throughout the month of February, faculty worked with students gathering facts and honing their presentations. On wax museum day, a large crowd of family members gathered to witness and enjoy the hard work and creativity of our students. Adding to the excitement of the day CBS 3 Philadelphia local news covered our event sharing the good news of St. James.
