Recruitment Goes into Full Swing

How does one recruit for a founding class of a new school? Dave Kasievich (Executive Director) and Laura Hoffman (Principal) have found that one of the best ways to connect with the surrounding neighborhood is not by foot or by car but by bicycle! Both leaders of the School have been weaving in and out of neighborhood streets talking to parents and guardians and learning more about the educational needs of the neighborhood. Neighbors are learning that St. James School is becoming more than just a School for 5th graders but a place to celebrate family events, learn more about gardening or a place for neighbors to meet to build community and therefore, strengthen the neighborhood.
