The Episcopal School in North Philadelphia

Today marked the beginning of a long-term relationship between St. James School and the Daughters of the King. Members of the local chapter from Trinity Church, Ambler, gathered in our Historic Church and future School Chapel to begin what will become a monthly routine of love and commitment. Lead by Chapter President Ms. Addie Johnson, the group met with Mother Marie Swayze, School Chaplain and David Kasievich, Executive Director to discuss and plan the partnership. The DOK have agreed to provide monthly cleaning services for the School Chapel and School Community House. This labor of love will save St. James School the expense of having to hire a cleaning service and therefore allow more funds to be used for the benefit of the students at St. James School.

The Order of the Daughters of the King (DOK) are a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of Prayer, Service and Evangelism. The DOK have made a commitment to Jesus as Savior, and they follow Him as Lord of all lives. They are an Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, churches in communion with it, or churches in the Historic Episcopate. Today membership includes women in the Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA) and Roman Catholic churches. More information: www.doknational.com
