Students, staff and families gathered in the Church of St. James the Less for the 2016 Baccalaureate Mass, celebrating the success of the soon-to-be graduates who are heading to best-fit high schools in the fall. Led by The Reverends Andrew Kellner and Betsy Ivey, the evening was a special ceremony that ended with a beautiful candle lighting to mark the life of our students as they move ahead on their path to high school, college and career.
Prior to the mass, Salutatorian Joseph Cotten asked Father Kellner for permission to speak to students during the sermon. He shared heartwarming words of wisdom, saying that God created us how we are and we can embrace this to become whatever we want to be in life.
