We Draw Upon Several School Models and Traditions
St. James School has benefited from and is modeled after several traditions and school models.
- Dr. Audrey Evans and the Rev. Sean Mullen, our co-founders, were first inspired by The Epiphany School, our sister school in Boston.
- We are also steeped in the history and traditions of Episcopal Schools.
- We share a deep connection with similarly modeled schools, all following the Episcopal Urban School Tradition.
- We collaborate with similarly modeled faith-based schools across the country through the NativityMiguel School Coalition.
We are the only Episcopal School in Philadelphia
The Episcopal tradition provides a framework for a dialogue of faith, reason, and experience.
School Worship, Community Life, Religious Formation and Study, & Social Justice come together to nurture the moral and spiritual lives of our students.
Seek to serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself.
