The Women’s Legacy Fund winter sports clinics for girls at William Penn Charter School attracted an energetic crowd. All told, 38 girls from St. James School and William Penn Charter participated, and many of them stayed for all the clinics as well as the Q&A. Nine young ladies from St. James School were participants for the program’s basketball clinic. The winter clinic day raised $790, not to mention the excitement of the girls as they learned more about athletics, fitness and Penn Charter academics. The clinics were organized by the Women’s Legacy Scholarship Fund and proceeds benefit the fund, which has grown since 2011 and will support its first scholar in 2013.
